Healthcare Traveler Magazine : The print and online magazine for Travel Medical Professionals. Lot's of ads, but also full of usefull information for travelers. The print magazine is high quality, but ad driven as well.
NurseTraveler.Org : This is one of the best sites built by a Travel Nurse that I've seen. He gives easy to understand explanations about bill rates, per diems, and tax advantage. He's worked hard on this site and we highly recommend that you visit it.
Ultimate Nurse : Forums, resume posting, great lists of nursing associations and journals. Free, but sign up required for resume posting or forum posting. There are some non-functional links and the site is commercially driven, but still provides some interesting and usefull information for Travel Nurses.
PanTravelers.org : Website for the Professional Association of Nurse Travelers. A membership driven webiste and association. You can get access to some of the content with a free membership, but acces to much of the resources requires a paid membership. As of right now the membership doesn't seem to offer many benefits, but the association seems to be just getting started. This organization seems to have been started by a group of Travel Nurses from the Delphi Forums TNT Board, but I could not find a list of officers or an organizational structure on their site. The most usefull item I found on the site was a Travelers Pay calculator.
Highway Hypodermics : The website of the Author of Highway Hypodermics. This is a great book for new Travelers, and the site maintains several lists of agencies voted on by Travelers. A great source of agency information that gives you real information about what other Travel Nurses have said about them after working for them. The Author's name is Epstein LaRue. You can purchase Highway Hypodermics here.
Travel Nurse's Bible : David Morrison, RN's well written and entertaining book about how to start your Travel Nursing career. This website is mainly just a portal for information on his book, which you can purchase from his site.
Lippincott’s NursingCenter.com : Credible, current, authoritative, evidence-based resources to help you in your practice. Their Travel Nurse section is sponsored by HRN and is a recruiting portal for them, but the site in general offers a lot of good peer reviewed articles.
